Lead Information Assurance Systems Admin/ Network Engineer Location- Jacksonville, FL Clearance- TS/SCI This program requires US Citizenship Position Overview: Seeking an experienced Lead IA Systems Administrator & Network Engineer to provide comprehensive support for USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT. This role is primarily responsible for system administration while also serving as a secondary network engineer. Key Responsibilities: Network Operations & Maintenance: Operate, secure, maintain, and repair network infrastructure in accordance with DoD guidelines. Manage network components including: 12 switches 10 routers 1 firewall 5 video teleconference systems 50 servers 4 TACLANE encryptors Plan for an estimated annual network growth of 5%. System Administration & Security: Provide technical support for C4I systems , including: ENMS Lite DCGS-N Increment 1 Block 2 (SIPR and JWICS) ADSI v15 GCCS-J 4.3 U1 Radiant Mercury (RADMERC) Video Teleconference (VTC) Systems Conduct 10-15 weekly security scans & patches , ensuring compliance with DoD IA & CND guidelines. Maintain accountability for over 150 IT assets assigned to USNAVSOUTH/FOURTHFLT. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as necessary. Network Architecture & Administration: Design and optimize network architectures per DoD guidance. Manage network configuration changes and topology documentation. Install, configure, and maintain software/hardware, ensuring security compliance. Diagnose and resolve system failures. Implement federal network security standards for vendor-supplied modifications. Technical Consultation & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support to users and resolve complex technical issues. Minimize disruptions and maximize operational efficiency for mission-critical activities. Equipment Management & Maintenance: Oversee PC maintenance, IT hardware repairs, and communications assistance. Engineer and implement equipment reallocations. Lead efforts in network infrastructure design, installation, and enhancement. Required Qualifications: Certifications: Must obtain and maintain MCSA certification within first 6 months. CASP (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional). Meet DoD 8570.01-M requirements for IAT Level II, including: GSEC Network+ CE Security+ CE SSCP Technical Expertise: Networking & Security: Cisco Routers & Switches (configuration, backup, restore) Cisco ASA 5515-x firewall (Intrusion Protection System) DCGS-N Block 2 Ashore maintenance training Cisco VTC operation & configuration Systems & Tools: MS Visio, ACAS scanning software, Wireshark network sniffing tool VMware (ESX 5.5/6.0), VCenter, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VMware View) Solaris 10, Red Hat 5.5 Enterprise, Windows Server 2008/2012, Windows 7/10 Radiant Mercury (RADMERC), Splunk, Joint Concentrator Architecture (JCA) Image Product Library (IPL), Generic Area Limitation Environment (GALE), Common Geopositioning Services (CGS), Imagery Exploitation Support System (IESS) What's Up Gold, WSUS, ENMS Lite training on BMC product Position Details: Pay Rate / Range: $62-69.50/hr The above salary range represents the range expected for the position; however, final salary offers are based on a number of factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
