JOB SUMMARY Provide counsel and guidance with employee relations issues across the organization, but not limited to the areas of policies and procedures, performance management, employee information maintenance, and unemployment and legal claims. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Strategically partner with business managers on employee relations matters to proactively implement effective solutions. Guide managers on performance matters and corrective action processes. Ensure counsel and documentation is consistent with corporate policies and procedures. Partner closely with business leaders and team members to optimize work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention. Solicit input and feedback necessary to foster a positive work environment. Review corporate human resources policies and make recommendations considering current employee relations climate, industry trends and best practices. Implement revisions to policies, programs and practices as needed. Ensure compliance with all state and federal statutes and regulations. Initiate and conduct timely investigations, prepare documentation, and make recommendations for disciplinary action. Counsel team members and managers on conflict resolution and work-related issues. Work closely with in-house general counsel as necessary, including but not limited to preparation of separation agreements, OWBPA notices and disparate impact analyses. Respond to and represent company in employment-related litigation matters. Work extensively with internal and outside counsel in gathering necessary information and formulating appropriate responses in these matters. Manage corporate human resources processes such as performance appraisals, code of ethics certification, compliance training, unemployment claims, employment agreements, engagement activities and/or other projects. Perform other job-related functions as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant education, skills, training, and experience. PHR certification preferred. EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years of progressive HR related experience.
