Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Underwriter / Program Manager to manage and enhance our national workers’ compensation program. This is a hands-on role responsible for assigning WC codes, managing claims, and ensuring compliance across all 50 states. You will work directly with staffing partners, carriers, and internal leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in every aspect of the workers’ compensation process. While this position does not currently manage a team, there is clear potential for leadership growth as the company continues to expand. Key Responsibilities Administer the national workers’ compensation program across multiple states. Assign and maintain accurate WC class codes (NCCI and state-specific). Review and approve high-volume WC requests from staffing partners. Manage 3–5 claims per month in coordination with carriers and TPAs. Prepare and submit payroll reports to carriers. Lead or support internal, carrier, and state audits. Partner with the CFO during renewals and program analysis. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of experience in Workers’ Compensation, Underwriting, or Risk Management. Background in PEO, Staffing, or Employer of Record environments strongly preferred. Knowledge of NCCI classification systems and state-specific codes. Experience managing high-volume WC requests. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
